Fluorescence based hydrogel glucose sensors are promising for improving continuous monitoring. In article number 2001286 by Jun Sawayama and Shoji Takeuchi, a responsive fluorescence PEG gel is developed; this has stable responses in vivo. The implantable device successfully traces blood concentrations diabetic model animal experiments. measures the concentration with an equivalent accuracy to that required clinically available settings.
